Tartan Fund

What is it?

The Tartan Fund is a substantial, permanent endowment fund which will assure the long-term quality of the Park Cities schools. Working together, current school families, residents, alumni and friends can generate the financial resources necessary to sustain and enhance the HPISD tradition of educational excellence.

Why is the Tartan Fund important?

HPISD is unable to maintain the quality of its schools through residential tax dollars alone. An ever-increasing percentage of property tax dollars leave the community each to be redistributed to other school districts across the state. This year, HPISD will have reached the BILLION dollar mark in redistributed dollars through Austin's legislature. Private funding is the only way to preserve the educational standards for future generations, and the Tartan Fund is an excellent way to do just that.
